PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is an autologous blood therapy in which the patient’s own blood is taken and specially processed. The plasma obtained (cell-free blood component) contains a high proportion of platelets (thrombocytes) and growth factors, which offer excellent treatment options. Injected into the skin (face, neck, décolleté, hands), wrinkles and pigmentation disorders are significantly reduced and the tissue is demonstrably firmer thanks to collagen build-up.
PRP can also be used to stimulate hair growth. In our practice, we also add an additive with high-quality biotin, which as HES (homeopathized autologous blood) stimulates the hair follicles even better and stimulates hair growth more intensively than with PRP alone.
We recommend a treatment cycle of 3-6 treatments at intervals of 4 weeks. For patients planning a hair transplant, this therapy helps to improve the growth rate of the grafts (transplanted hair follicles).
